Our Mission - Zero Masking Mentors

Our Mission

To improve the health and happiness of the Queer Neurodivergent community by curating access to vetted public and private neuro-queer affirming spaces, and providing life-skills education and community support through art and gaming.

Led by the community - Zero Masking Mentors

Led by the community

Zero Masking Mentors (ZMM) is not just a service—it is a community built from the ground up by the very people it serves.

Lived Experience at the Helm

Our vision is guided by Mx. Phoenix Woody and Mr. Chase Simmons. As Queer Neurodivergent (QND) leaders, they understand that the systems designed for the neurotypical world often fail our community.

ZMM was born from a need for spaces where we don't have to apologize for our sensory needs, our communication styles, or our identities. Phoenix and Chase lead from a place of shared struggle and shared joy, ensuring that every workshop and social event is designed by us, for us.

A Vision of Radical Acceptance

We believe that the cure for burnout isn't just "rest"—it's the ability to exist without a mask. Our vision is to build a QND community rooted in Radical Acceptance, where your support needs are respected without question.

  • You are the expert on your body: We create environments where stimming, moving, and taking breaks are the norm, not the exception.
  • Shame-Free Participation: We replace judgment with neutral language. There is no "lazy" or "failing" here—only energy limits and executive capacity.
  • Honoring the Intersection: We celebrate the unique overlap of queer and neurodivergent identities, providing a sanctuary where you are safe to be your whole self.

We partner with sensory-friendly and LGBTQIA+ spaces across the KC Metro to host our gaming, social, and educational events. These community partnerships are the heartbeat of our mission, allowing us to keep our programming 100% free for the Neurodivergent Queer community.

Unmasked. Unashamed. Unstoppable.

No Formal Diagnosis Required

Whether you are formally diagnosed, self-diagnosed, or currently exploring your Neurodivergent identity, you have a place here. We recognize that medical pathways can be filled with barriers, and we choose to center lived experience over clinical gatekeeping.

Our community is built for Queer and Neurodivergent adults who are seeking connection, support, and a space to exist authentically. If you feel you belong here, you do.
